What is it about Ebola that people are so concerned about? It is not very easily contracted, unless fluids are exchanged between those two people. So, what about this virus are people so afraid of? Are there any other modes of transmission? One nurse in Dallas was hospitalizing an Ebola patient when she caught the virus herself and there is so far no explanation to this. If by chance this did become an epidemic we need to know as much as we can about the virus. It is not something we can use antibiotics on because viruses are technically "not living." Even though this virus is not as not as the flu, we do not need two virus to be killing people at high rates in our world. At my level of knowledge I do not expect scientists to look upon to my research, but people who are interested in the virus will definitely find my findings important. Today, the virus is becoming a concern and people want to learn more about it. I myself have been looking it up in my own concern. The virus was first discovered in 1976 with tiny outbreaks happening here in there, but this year has been the largest outbreak since discovery. It has killed thousands of people, but it is not match up compared to the flu. It has been thought that the fruit bat is a natural carrier of the disease. To me, this is a very interesting disease. It isn't one that is very common, but it sure has made a breakthrough in our modern world. I first heard about this disease in my bio medical technology class where we watched a video on it's devastation. From there I read online news articles about it. It's just a really fascinating virus with so much to learn about it. Of course there will be the occasional "Believe It or Not" articles, such as Ebola patients rising from the dead. This is not humanly possible. The heart rate could have been too low to feel thus the patient still is alive and are able to move just barely. If that's the case, they don't have much longer to live anywhere without extreme medical attention. Overall, this virus has so much to learn about and I expect to find some really interesting information.
